We made it! I'm so proud of all of you. In honor of all your hard work, this week will be pretty easy and a good time to catch up on any work you still want to finish and turn in for Contest Points. The only new material will be finishing up Charlotte's Web (I will post those last 3 chapters today)! I also posted Ms. Trevino's music lessons number 3 and 4, and a Mystery Science video on Unicorns (with a bonus section on magic tricks) for your entertainment.
Announcements:
1. The contest will end Wednesday afternoon and we will have the winners announced by Thursday evening.
2. Check Class Story this afternoon for the last 3 chapters of Charlotte's Web and 1 last DoJo Activity.
3. Computer Turn In: All school computers should be turned in either this Friday, May 29th or Monday, May 31st at the school. See School Story on DoJo for all the details.
4. Look for a surprise on Friday that I made for you all. Since we can't be together, I'll be mailing home certificates and awards for each of you as well.
Please continue to check back here this week for any new announcements!
Have a wonderful week:)

I wanted to repost the contest rules with updates below. There are now 12 different ways to earn points but you still get rewarded the same for doing at least 6 different goals each week.
RAFFLE CONTEST RULES: You can earn 1 raffle ticket for every contest point. You can earn a contest point for every goal (see GOALS and categories below). PLUS, if you get at least 6 different goals for the week, you will earn an extra 2 bonus points. We will have drawings every two weeks beginning on April 24th, then May 11, and May 25. The raffle ticket drawing for prizes will be posted as a video on Dojo Class Story. Check the daily bulletin or Dojo Messenger for bonus point opportunities as they arise. MORE WORK = MORE TICKETS = BETTER CHANCE TO WIN! You can keep track of points on Dojo Portfolio. One Dojo point = one contest point = one raffle ticket.
MOBY MAX AWARDS: Moby Max gives student rewards for work done on Moby Max. Since I can also offer random Teacher Awards on Moby Max at any time, I will pick a day or two a week and give extra teacher rewards to students who show work on any subject or program such as Lexia, Raz Kids, St Math, Utah Compose, Zearn, Eureka, Science, or any other assignment. You can check awards on your MobyMax home page or in messenger as a note saying your teacher sent an award.

Parents, consider having your children do their school work 4 days a week and making the 5th day a Fun Day. We did this in class when the students did a good job during the week on their academics and earned a Friday Fun Day. Make it a day to do whatever your kids are interested in. I will keep posting ideas for activities as I find them. We will be having "challenges" just for fun and I hope you will be inspired to participate. It could get a little crazy! Stay tuned:)
Thursday, April 23rd:
GUESS WHAT?!! Tomorrow, FRIDAY, you HAVE THE DAY OFF!! That’s right, THE DAY OFF (it is a non-student day in the district for all schools:).
So, if you want more contest points, you better get to it today (unless you want to do school work tomorrow:) You can check your point totals on DoJo on Saturday.
I will be drawing the winners names on Sunday and posting the video on Monday.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
Wednesday, April 22nd:
Good morning wonderful class! How is your week going? I want to tell you something. I am SO PROUD of every one of you. Many of you have told me that sitting in front of a computer by yourself, or even with your parents, is HARD. Believe me, I know it is. That is why I’m so very proud of you for sticking with it and doing your best. The truth is it would be so much better to be in the classroom together right now. I miss all of you - A LOT. So, if you’re feeling a little lonely and missing your friends, know that I am missing you too. Speaking of which, if you’d like to “talk” to me face-to-face in Teams on “Chat”, we can do that! I spoke to one student yesterday to try it out and it worked, so let me know if that’s something that would help you. I can answer questions, help with homework or just say “hello.”
Check out more videos on Class Story today, Chapter 9 Charlotte’s Web (it has 2 parts, long chapter). Enjoy the day, get out in the sunshine and stay positive. We’ve got this Super 3s!!!!
Do Something Kind: Today is Library Day. Ms. Julie is a wonderful librarian for our school and I know it would mean a lot to her to hear from you. Maybe you can write her a short note or make a video telling her what you like about her library class and why she’s a good librarian. Spread kindness today!

Hi students! Be sure to check out Class DoJo and the video I posted on Class Story. I will be reading 2 chapters each week of Charlotte’s Web, so please watch the videos and read along in your books. There are also 2 assigned activities for you to do. Hope you like the video! It’s almost Friday, yay!
Tuesday, April 7th:
Good morning Super 3’s:). We need to make a little change to the Math routine for a few days. Please check the Daily Routine page and follow the schedule. For now, just focus on ST Math and Moby Max.
Monday, April 6th:
We made it to Week 2! After you read this, remember to go check the Daily Routine page for this week.
Note to Super 3's: Be sure to check DoJo Class Story every day for some videos I will be posting there for fun. You will make your OWN DoJo account with the codes that were in the packet last week. If you don’t have your code, ask your parent to email their address to me in DoJo and I will send it. DoJo will become our main way to share things like photos, drawings, writing, videos, and more! Once you make your account, check out Portfolio. That will be your main page. I have made an Activity for you to do. Your first activity is to make a short video! Send me the video so I will know you are set up AND I will get to see your face! Also be sure to check Class Story for photos I have posted of our class this year. I will be posting more:)
Note to parents: I made a few adjustments to the amount of time the students should aim for when doing their work each day. I lowered the amounts based on the guidelines from the district. They feel that students should only be spending 4 hours a day doing school work while at home. This includes their time reading instructions, doing the work, etc. I have made a note on the Daily Routine so you can see what the CORE subjects are, which are the most important things they should focus on and then YOUR CHOICE areas for things they can do if time allows and/or they want to do extra. There are also some very fun sites I have links to on the individual pages that they can check out.
Just do what you can each day and remember I am here for you!
------------------------
Friday, April 3rd: Happy Friday Super 3's! I hope your week went okay. I know it's very different learning from home but you are doing great. For those of you who have been working on-line, THANK YOU. For anyone who is still having trouble, I need you to let me know so I can help you. What I have learned this week is that MobyMax is a really good way for you, the students, to send me a message directly and I can answer you back. I will be assigning some lessons in MobyMax for next week. So after the weekend, on Monday morning, April 6th, please log onto our class website and check the Daily Routine for next week. AGAIN, NOTE THAT DAILY ROUTINE HAS ITS OWN PAGE NOW. IT IS NEXT TO "HOME" ON THE MENU ABOVE. I miss seeing all of you! One day soon, we will look back on this time and think "Remember when schools closed and we got really good at learning on-line?" Stay strong Super 3's!
3/30 Update at Noon: Dojo appears to be down temporarily. Probably lots of traffic on the site. Check back later.
If something is urgent, please send me an email. See “Contact” page above.
Monday, March 30th: Good morning Super 3’s! Today’s the 1st day of on-line school. Please check the Daily Routine below to see what we will be doing this week. When you have questions, tell your parents or write them down and they can share them with me on Class DoJo. Remember that I will be checking DoJo during my “office hours” Monday through Friday from 10 am to noon, and then also during the day. We will spend this week doing review work and learning together what is going to work and what we may need to change. Just do your best and it will all be okay.
I miss seeing each of you!
Wednesday, March 25: I hope you are all doing well over spring break. For the first week of at-home learning (Monday March 30 to Friday April 3), we will do a week of review as instructed by the district. Then, beginning week 2 at-home, we will return to new material. That gives us next week to work out any glitches or problems as we make this transition.
